Eligibility

How do I know if I'm eligible for the program?

IF you can say "yes" to all of these:

  • I am a US Citizen or a national, permanent resident or have INS documentation
  • I am enrolled in an ASU West undergraduate program pursuing my first baccalaureate degree

AND IF you can say "yes" to one of these, you are eligible for TRiO Academic Achievement Center.

  • I am a "first generation" college student (NEITHER of my parents has a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree) OR
  • I am eligible for or am receiving need-based financial aid for my education and/or meet the federal government's guidelines for low income OR
  • I am eligible for or am receiving services from the Disability Resource Center

How do I apply to the program?

If you are eligible for TRiO based on the above criteria and would like to apply to the program, you must fill out and sign an eligibility form. The eligibility form can be obtained in the TRiO office (UCB 220) or online.
