Stat Lab: SPSS Workshops
SPSS Workshop Description
We conduct in-class introductory SPSS Workshops at the request of the instructor There are two types of workshops: Introductory & Advanced Introductory SPSS Workshop We conduct a free introductory SPSS Workshop for research teams or for any courses that involve the analysis of quantitative data. The workshop reviews the basic organization and functions of SPSS such as inputting, editing, and transforming a data file, as well as performing some routine analyses. We provide workshop packets and online downloadable data to aid students in learning basic SPSS applications. The introductory workshop usually last about one and half hours, however, it can be modified. Intermediate SPSS Workshop We can also provide an intermediate workshop especially for students who had the first workshop or are familiar with the basic application of SPSS. The intermediate workshop briefly reviews the introductory workshop (~15 minutes) and then introduces the use of SPSS to perform descriptive and basic inferential statistics. Workshop packets and online downloadable data are also provided. Depending on the instructor's needs, this workshop can last between 1.5 to 2 hours. Scheduling a Workshop If the instructor would like to schedule a workshop, please contact the Stat Lab at (602) 543-6117.
