A series of exploratory meetings with leadership from 25 school districts, community colleges, and Arizona State University at the West campus, began in October 1999. From the start it was clear that attendees shared common concerns over the same issues, most immediately the teacher shortage. As a new organization, the West Valley Think Tank is open to evolving needs and priorities.
